Bernice Irene Foster, a long-time resident of Pittsburg, Texas, peacefully passed away at her home on November 21, 2022. Bernice was born on July 25, 1928, in Portland, Oregon, to Clifford Rosevelt Floyd and Bertha Rose Badertscher.
Bernice was a graduate of the Sherwood Union High School in Sherwood, Oregon. She met and married her husband, Elvin Foster, and then dedicated her time to homemaking and taking care of their three children.
Bernice had been an avid bowler since the 1950s. Her numerous other hobbies included golfing, participating in the Norwood Garden Club, quilting, and also serving in the VFW Auxiliary Post 3452.
She is survived by her three children: son, Charles Foster and wife, Emily; daughters, Evelyn Ward and husband, John, and Phylis Portis and husband, Brad; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; and sister, Lois Baker.
Bernice was preceded in death by her parents, beloved husband, and brother, Melvin Floyd.
